JoAnne Castelli Castor feels this is the most important part of her work because it deals with the current "global emergence of the feminine energy"


In this series, the artist uses symbolic female figures rising from water, earth, darkness, clouds, etc. icons of world conflicts. They are representative of a society struggling to move " toward consensus and peace and away from aggression and war"


These large-scale works can be described as realistic yet abstract graphic compositions that use the female figure as an element of the landscape.
